Hello! I stumbled across the comic a couple days ago, and now I'm all caught up. So...yeah. I should be studying for exams, but where's the fun in that?

I'm at college, and probably will be for the next 4.5 years (go five-year plan!) I'm almost finished with my first book, and I want to have it published.

Welcome! As you can see, we're still a small (well, tiny ;P) community, but in a couple years you'll be able to say "hey, I was among the first posters there"!

Procrastination is my middle name, too ... I should be working on the February comics right now, but I'm posting on this forum instead...

Will it have dragons? :)

I hope it's not The Truth About Dragons, because as Spiky told us, that's just full of lies and exaggerations ... ;P

Spiky doesn't need to worry, then. I'm being fair. Except for the villain, an acid-spewing monster bent on dominating dragons and humans. I'll justify it by stating that he is based off a power-hungry school official I did not like.

From my behalf too, welcome to the board. It's always really nice to see new faces around here.

And I hope all the luck to you with the book. I pretty much always wanted to write a book of some sort, but I never got to the last page. I started couple of times, but since my attention span is about the size of a cookie, I never finished them. Good to see that somebody has motivation enough to go through it.

It seems I've locked out the spammers quite effectively though, haven't had any spammers register here since I added the "secret question". Guess reading the comic is too much effort for them after all ;P

Luckily, it appears the question wasn't too difficult for Kriegel here ;) Sometimes I'm worried I'm making it too difficult for non-spammers too register...

Hm, I'm usually reports (daily, weekly, monthly), but leave it up to my readers to decide wheter they are fictional or not.

So the world will probably be safe from a book of mine ,)

Err.. forgot the most important part: Welcome ,)

Spammers = condemned to the abyss

Although technically I'm spamming now. To bring it back on topic: Thanks y'all for the welcome! My brain is fried from my exam this evening (He gave us three hours to write a paper. I DO NOT LIKE timed papers.)

Ay, I just gave away my heritage, didn't I? Oh, well. Gotta have a Southerner, right?

I was afraid the question would be more...um...subjective than that. Considering the voracity with which I read...yeah.

[spam]Am I really double-posting? That's bad.[/spam]

Do y'all want to hear about my projects? You do? Great! (for you, ak-竜)

Let's see...none of these titles are fixed.
The Dragon Conspirators--A coming of age/fantasy novel for young adults. A sickeningly egoistic dragon wants to enslave humankind. And he's crazy enough to try.

Hybrids--(co-authored with TDY from DIOM) A group of genetically engineered hybrids escape from the lab and try to survive on their own while avoiding capture.

Trials of the Wolf--NaNoWriMo project. A werewolf finds himself in another world as a character he invented.

Repercussions--(freelance project) An anthro dragon is exiled from his home after a horrible accident.

Ah, but with pointing that out, you show that you know how to behave. Then you can be allowed to misbehave this once ;P

Thanks :)

(... snip ...)

Makes me want to write again. I used to write a lot when I was younger, even finished a couple (and have lots more unfinished and likely never to be finished ... *sigh*), but I think I lack the endurance nowadays. And I can't quite decide what language I would want to write in, if it were a whole novel again. This webcomic was the logical conclusion of my wanting to write, wanting to force myself to draw more, and publishing something on the Internet with some sort of schedule ;P

I always thought I should take part in NaNoWriMo once. Damn, isn't that always in November? That means I forgot it yet again this year.

There's also some 24-hour-comic project. I should look that up again and see how that went...

TDY reminded me of something this afternoon. Hybrids is based on an RPG that he developed. (Okay, this sentence shouldn't have gone here. I knew that fact.) It flopped due to lack of participation, but he and I really liked the story the two of us put together. The RPG and book are already different, though, but we decided to keep one important (to us) element: we are arguing that the man-made hybrids have souls; they're not just robots.

I just have to post how much I agree. I hate that song.

The song is OK, it's just WAAAAAAAY overused. I prefer songs other than Christmas songs anyway.
