No problem, it's not required to post an intro thread :) _________________ Do you mind? I'm trying to learn about the Okapi. |

Negation? Shouldn't your sig have the word "the" between "for" and "PI"? |

But wouldn't it then be about the pie and not about pi? It is name of the constant after all and I wouldn't therefore put "the" there. But on the other hand, I'm not a native speaker ;) _________________ Who keeps the Five Worlds off the maps? Who keeps the lostech under wraps? We do, we do. |

[random] I'd probably put "the" between "is" and "formula." It would still be about pi. An article is needed there, and since the context does not allow a/an, it should be "the." [/random] _________________ When will the angels dance again? |

[/random] | Okay, I realize most of you aren't native speakers of English (at least, the American variant), but let me say this. When you're getting English lessons from a Southerner, you're in trouble. _________________ "I am not a fast writer; I am not a slow writer. I am a half-fast writer!" -- R. L. Asprin |

Hey!
You live in the South as well--and the same state!
But I suppose you are correct. Most Southerners don't exactly speak very good English. _________________ When will the angels dance again? |

*plays the British English card*
I'd leave it as it is, unless it's an actual qute from some spoof. _________________ "It is a clichÈ that most clichÈs are true, but then, like most clichÈs, that clichÈ is untrue." |
