That looks quite nice to me. I most likely would make the time between eye blinks somewhat longer, now it looks a bit too nervous ;) Also there's one or two frames (at point where the eye is half-ways closing) that look blurred to me (only slightly though).
Spiky was a good choice as an avatar. She's one of the most liked characters after all.

I'm working on a short Flash animation for my assignment which will hopefully be Spiky balancing on a ball; if I actually get it finished, you're welcome to use it if you like ;)
As for my opinion, Devart fan page sounds like a cool idea, but I'd have to say I wouldn't be changing my avi, since I like my Internet Avatars to reflect my current mood (yeah, having Baron Helmut Zemo as my avatar really says a lot about my personality lol)

I might adapt some of my Spiky menu designs into proper fanart that can be posted there, but right now I'm up to my ears in assignment-related work, and what little time I have for drawing is being dedicated to Dragonball fanart :)
