Has anyone else ever wondered what is going on inside of the baron's head? He doesn't seem to value Vincent at all and is making his life really miserable. And as far as we have seen in the comic, he doesn't seem to treat Siron in the same way (or anyone else). He did date Helena without any real intentions, but that wouldn't classify as evil per se.

So what makes the baron to hate Vincent so much that he treats him badly and abusive way?

I believe that part of it is because that's how he grew up. While growing up, he saw Worthless family being punished continuously and picked up the habit from there. So it might be that it's partly a learned behaviour and something that he feels that he's expected to do.

I'm wondering what would be his soft spot, if he even has one. If Vincent would know it, maybe he could turn it into his advantage? The plan might backfire of course and cause even more damage.

Any thoughts or suggestions?

That's a good possibility. Either that or he was raised to be like his father in that sense.

But then again, he might have his other reasons, such as the time where he forced Vincent to stand guard without sleep, which even prompted questions from the usually silent and obedient Siron.

Until then, we can't really sympathize with the baron enough to get a good idea of what's going on his head. At least without any concrete evidence of his behavior outside Vincent's point of view.
